FAA Part 107 preparation

How to book the FAA Part 107 test

The official UAG test is booked separately from an Airspace School course purchase. Use the FAA’s links to IACRA and its testing provider so that you register for the correct exam.

Get an FAA Tracking Number

Create an IACRA profile to obtain your FAA Tracking Number (FTN) before registering for the knowledge test. Use your identity details consistently across the application and booking.

Choose the correct exam and appointment

Follow the FAA link to PSI’s FAA testing site. Select Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG), then choose an available approved testing centre and appointment. Check the appointment instructions and current fee before paying.

Check identification before travelling

Read the current applicant bulletin and testing matrix for acceptable identification and any address evidence required. A booking confirmation alone is not a substitute for the required documents. Resolve a name or document mismatch with the testing provider before the appointment.

Keep the course price separate from the exam fee

Airspace School plans start at $9.99 USD per month, renewing until cancelled. You can also pay $39.99 USD once for 12 months, with no automatic renewal. Both plans include the learning material, practice tools and mock exams. Neither includes the official test appointment, a retake or an FAA certificate.

The amount payable for the official appointment is shown by the testing provider. This guide does not promise a fixed testing fee that may be different when you book.
