Category 1 lets the smallest drones fly over people under Part 107. What is the most a Category 1 drone may weigh, with everything on board or attached?
Answer A. A Category 1 drone must weigh 0.55 pounds or less, including everything on board or attached at takeoff and throughout the flight. That is about 250 grams. It must also have no exposed rotating parts that would cut skin.
