Terms and conditions
The agreement between you and Airspace School. Last updated 14 October 2026.
About these terms
LaneApps Limited, trading as Airspace School, is registered in England and Wales with company number 08950053. Its registered office is Rockingham, Calf Hill Road, Thongsbridge, Holmfirth, HD9 3TG, United Kingdom. Its UK VAT registration number is GB474936350. These terms apply when you use airspaceschool.com, create an account or buy the course. The terms are presented when you register and before you buy. Your order identifies the course and access period you purchased. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal information.
What we provide
Airspace School is an independent online study course for the FAA Part 107 knowledge test. It includes guided lessons, practice questions, a question bank and timed mock exams.
- We are not the FAA. We are not affiliated with, approved by or endorsed by the Federal Aviation Administration.
- We do not run the exam. You book and sit the FAA knowledge test at an FAA-approved testing center. The test and its fee are separate from this course, and we have no control over its questions or your result.
- We do not guarantee a pass. The course is a study aid. Your result depends on your own preparation.
Purpose and limits of the course
Airspace School provides general educational material to help you prepare for the FAA Part 107 knowledge test. It does not provide practical flight instruction, advice about a particular flight, legal advice, or an assessment of your ability to operate an aircraft safely.
Lessons, examples and practice questions may simplify situations for teaching purposes. They do not account for every aircraft, location, weather condition or operating circumstance. Do not use the course to decide whether a particular flight is safe or lawful.
Charts, examples and models are teaching materials and must not be used for navigation or flight planning.
Before flying, you are responsible for checking current applicable regulations, official airspace and weather information, and your aircraft manufacturer’s instructions, and for obtaining any necessary permissions.
Completing lessons or achieving a mock-exam score does not certify competence, authorise flight or guarantee an exam result. These limits do not affect your statutory consumer rights.
Technical requirements
You need an internet connection and a current browser with JavaScript and cookies enabled. Video needs sufficient bandwidth; interactive 3D teaching needs a browser and device that support WebGL. Try the free material before buying. Access is through the website; an offline download or a particular device feature is not promised. If a feature does not work as described, contact us. Your statutory rights still apply.
Your account
You must be at least 18, or at least 16 with the agreement of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must make or authorise any purchase where required by local law. Our account age rule is separate from official examination eligibility. Give us a working email address and keep your sign-in secure. An account is for one person; do not share it.
Free trial
A verified account can try each FAA Part 107, EASA A2 and EASA STS course free for 72 hours. Each course has a separate trial that starts when you first open a lesson or study questions in that course. It is available once per account per course and does not restart if you sign out or return later.
Each of the three consecutive 24-hour periods includes one new lesson and ten new questions shared across Practice and Question Bank. Opening material uses the allowance; lesson checks do not use the ten-question allowance. You can revisit opened lessons and questions until the trial ends. Mock exams and the AI tutor require paid access.
The trial ends automatically and never turns into a paid subscription. Your account and saved progress remain. To continue studying, choose and pay for a plan yourself.
Price and payment
The course costs $39.99 USD as a single payment, plus applicable tax calculated at checkout. It gives you 12 months of access from the date you buy. This one-time purchase has no automatic renewal; when your access ends, you are not charged again. New purchases use Stripe Managed Payments, with Stripe’s reseller acting as merchant of record for the payment. Stripe calculates, collects and remits applicable indirect tax for supported sales. Your receipt identifies the reseller and your card statement starts with LINK.COM*. Stripe may offer payment in your local currency; the converted amount and any currency conversion charges are shown before you pay.
Monthly subscription and cancellation
When available at checkout, the monthly plan costs $9.99 USD per month, plus applicable tax calculated at checkout, for the same course access. It renews each month until you cancel. You authorise recurring payments when you select this plan and complete checkout.
You can cancel renewal at any time from Account → Manage subscription, without contacting us. Cancel before the next payment date to stop the next charge. Your account shows the next payment date or, after cancellation, the subscription end date. You keep access for the period already paid for. Cancellation does not itself refund a payment already made, and it does not affect any refund rights described below.
If a renewal payment is unsuccessful, access ends when the period already paid for finishes. Your saved study history remains on your account. Existing one-time purchases never become subscriptions.
Access starts immediately, and refunds
Your access begins as soon as your payment goes through. For purchases through Stripe Managed Payments, the payment and refund terms shown at checkout also apply. You can request payment support or a refund using the link in your receipt or Link support. Stripe can issue refunds under those terms. Nothing in these terms removes your statutory consumer rights.
We will always refund you in full if:
- you were charged twice or charged in error;
- we were unable to give you access to the course; or
- the law where you live gives you a right to a refund that cannot be waived.
If we permanently close the course before your access ends, we will refund the unused part of what you paid. To ask for a refund, email support@airspaceschool.com.
See our refunds, cancellation and complaints policy for withdrawal rights, how to make a request and an optional cancellation form. Requesting immediate access does not, by itself, waive statutory cancellation rights. Cancelling renewal and withdrawing from a purchase are different actions.
Using the course
The course is for your own personal study. You must not:
- copy, publish, sell or share the lessons, questions, explanations, images or video;
- collect the content with automated tools, or use it to build a competing product or to train software;
- try to get around access controls, or interfere with the site or other learners.
Our content
The course content and software belong to LaneApps Limited or its licensors. Buying the course gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use it during your access period. Some source material is public domain or available under a separate licence. Our ownership claim does not extend to those underlying works. Follow each source’s attribution, copyright and reuse conditions; third-party charts, photographs and logos are not automatically free to reuse. Nothing here restricts uses permitted by law.
Changes and availability
We update lessons and questions as rules change and as we improve the course. We work to keep the site available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We provide updates needed to keep the purchased service working and secure during your access period. Changes must not remove your statutory remedies. If a material change adversely affects paid access, we will explain it and any cancellation or refund rights before it takes effect where the law requires.
Our responsibility to you
We provide the course with reasonable care and skill. We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We do not promise an exam result or assume responsibility for decisions you make about a flight. This does not exclude responsibility that the law places on us. The course is sold for personal study; it does not include a promise to compensate business trading losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Ending your access
You can stop using the course or ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and allow you to respond or put it right; an urgent security risk may require immediate action. Any refund remains subject to the payment terms and your statutory rights. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription: cancel renewal first, or contact us for help doing both.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of the US state or country where you live, including any right to bring a claim in the courts of your place of residence. These terms do not require arbitration or waive a right to join a claim that the law protects.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. The terms in force when you bought the course continue to apply to that purchase.
Complaints
Email support@airspaceschool.com with the problem and any order reference. Please do not send payment-card details. We will investigate and explain the outcome. You may also use applicable consumer complaint or dispute-resolution routes. Contacting us does not suspend any legal deadline.
