EASA A2 preparation
A2 exam planning checklist
Bring the A2 qualification route, study topics and booking checks together before arranging your official attempt.

Before studying
Identify the role of the A2 certificate and confirm that the intended operation fits the open category. Review the A1/A3 prerequisite and the required practical self-training under A3 conditions. Keep a separate record of those steps and the declaration.
Before booking
Cover meteorology, aircraft performance and ground-risk mitigations. Check your understanding with unfamiliar questions and a timed mock. The European examination requirement is at least 30 multiple-choice questions and at least 75% of the marks; confirm the exact paper and duration with your examining body.
Before exam day
Check identification, the name on your booking, permitted materials, location or remote-proctoring equipment and the start time. Read the retake and cancellation arrangements. Know how the result and certificate will be delivered. Paying for an Airspace School plan does not reserve an exam appointment.
Continue to the study plan, booking guide or steps after passing.
