The European minimum
UAS.OPEN.030(2)(c) sets a minimum of 30 multiple-choice questions. They assess meteorology, UAS flight performance and technical and operational mitigations for ground risk. The passing requirement is at least 75% of the overall marks.
Translate the percentage carefully
On a paper with exactly 30 equally weighted, one-mark questions, 22 correct answers give 73.3%, while 23 give 76.7%. That makes 23 the first whole-number score reaching 75%. Do not assume that arithmetic describes an exam with different question counts or marking rules; follow the examining body’s instructions.
Check local delivery and timing
EASA’s acceptable means of compliance provide for a face-to-face examination or a remotely proctored online examination. Duration, allowed equipment, identity checks, fees and retakes must be confirmed with the examining body. Airspace School’s A2 mocks use 30 questions and 60 minutes; that timer is a preparation setting, not a universal European exam duration.
