EASA STS preparation
How the STS visual lessons work
Use the STS course's models and explanations to understand a concept before practising questions about it.

Follow what changes
Start with the physical meaning of a concept. For operational planning, first separate the space used for the intended flight from the surrounding space used for contingency procedures. A label or a remembered number is much easier to apply once you can picture what it measures.
Use the controls with a purpose
Change one control at a time and predict the result before moving it. Explain what changed and what stayed the same. If the relationship is still unclear, return to the previous teaching stage. You can try a free interactive lesson without creating an account.
Check understanding after learning
Answer the lesson check before reading its feedback. A wrong answer identifies something to revisit; a guessed right answer deserves the same review. Try the public practice sample to see the answer-and-explanation flow.
The model is a teaching aid. Use the manufacturer's instructions and the applicable rules when preparing an actual operation. A demonstration is not a site survey or approval to fly.
