EASA STS preparation
STS pass mark and checking your preparation
Use the STS passing threshold correctly and judge your preparation across the syllabus without relying on unverified pass-rate promises.

Separate the pass mark from a pass rate
The official requirement is at least 75% of the overall marks. A pass rate instead describes results for a defined group of candidates and period. We do not claim a verified Europe-wide STS pass rate or a guaranteed result for Airspace School learners.
Check the route and marking scheme
On a paper of 40 equally weighted questions, 30 correct answers reach 75%. On exactly 30 one-mark questions, 23 correct answers are needed to reach the threshold. Your examining body confirms the actual paper, marking instructions and any reduced route available to A2 holders.
Test your reasoning across subjects
Explain why an operation fits STS-01 or STS-02, distinguish crew responsibilities and choose a procedure from its trigger. Review human performance, weather and aircraft knowledge as well as the scenario rules. A score on a small sample cannot establish coverage of all eight subjects.
Use a timed mock after studying, then review uncertain correct answers and mistakes. Follow the STS study plan to decide what to revisit.
