Start with official sources

EASA's Easy Access Rules bring together the regulations, acceptable means of compliance and guidance. Use Appendix 1, including the requirements for STS-01 and STS-02 and the theoretical syllabus in Attachment A. The rules are a reference to consult while learning, not a promise that reading a single page covers the examination.

Check the examining body’s information

Your national aviation authority or its designated examining body provides the official booking process. Check the language, accepted qualifications, identity requirements, allowed materials, and fee. EASA's authority directory is a useful starting point; a search result or course advertisement does not establish approval to run an official exam.

Try Airspace School before paying

Open the free lesson and answer the public practice questions. These samples need no account. A separate verified-account trial gives you 72 hours in the STS course, with one new lesson and ten new questions per day. There is no automatic charge. Mocks and the AI tutor require paid access.

Use the study plan to organise these resources rather than reading them without a clear next step.
