A2 mock exams: timing, marking and review

Use A2 mock papers to practise an uninterrupted attempt, then review the reasoning behind mistakes and uncertain answers.

Know the course format

Airspace School has three A2 mock forms. Each uses 30 questions, a 60-minute time limit and a 75% passing threshold. With 30 equally weighted questions, 23 correct answers reach that threshold; 22 do not. These are course settings. Your official examining body confirms its own duration and arrangements.

Make the attempt useful

Take a mock after studying all three subject areas. Use only materials permitted by the exam arrangement you are preparing for. Avoid looking up an answer during the attempt. The course saves answers as you go and provides explanations after submission, so you can separate assessment from revision.

Review more than the score

Group errors into weather, aircraft performance and ground risk. Explain uncertain correct answers too. Revisit the underlying lesson before repeating a paper. A repeated high score can reflect memory of that form, and no practice score guarantees an official pass.

Full mocks require paid access. The public sample demonstrates question feedback without starting a timed mock.
