EASA A2 preparation
A2 exam syllabus and topic checklist
Use the three A2 subject areas as a revision checklist. The European rule does not assign a fixed percentage of questions to each subject.

Meteorology
Check your understanding of wind, turbulence around buildings, temperature, visibility, air density and obtaining weather forecasts. Explain how a change affects the drone rather than learning a definition in isolation. Distinguish a forecast for an area from the conditions at the actual flight site.
UAS flight performance
Review the operating envelope of rotorcraft, fixed-wing and hybrid aircraft; mass and balance; securing payloads; and battery terminology, use, charging and storage. Explain why changing the position or characteristics of a payload can affect stability even when the total mass stays the same.
Ground-risk mitigations
Review low-speed functions, estimating distance from people and the 1:1 reference in EASA’s guidance. Be able to distinguish the legal minimum separation from the wider judgement needed to choose a safe distance. These topics are set out in AMC1 UAS.OPEN.030(2)(c).
The rule requires appropriate distribution across subjects, not a published Europe-wide percentage table. Plan revision across all three.
